Baby & Toddler Books :

We live in a world today where so much is run by technology. While inventions like the Leapfrog and apps like Kids Learn to Read have become essential in helping our children become advanced readers, I am still a big believer in the bedtime story. To me, reading a story to my kids before bed is the perfect way to help them unwind after a long day. Kids of all ages have a great time getting lost in the fantasy world created by Maurice Sendak in his beloved bed time story, Where The Wild Things Are. Can you believe Margaret Wise Brown’s Goodnight Moon was first published over fifty years ago! Since then author and publisher Adam Gable has gone on to create a collection called Our World of Books, which mirrors Goodnight Moon teaching your child the history of cities around the country in an exciting way, while lulling them to sleep at the same time. Mo Willems does a fantastic job of creating stories the whole family can enjoy. Every time I read Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, I can’t help but laugh right along with my kids! I feel like once kids reach a certain age, no matter what their interests are the idea of reading “chapter books”, becomes thrilling. The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary, is the perfect way to help your child get their feet wet in the exciting world of chapter books. Some of my favorite childhood memories involve reading, and I think it’s important to keep these classic books alive. As a parent, I make an effort to expose my kids the indescribable feeling of getting lost in a great book.
