Remember when Banksy hit NYC’s streets last fall? Well, in honor the event, NYC’s Babesta decided to take some of the graffiti artist’s greatest street art and, using some of the store’s spring summer 2014 collections (including NUNUNU, Mini Rodini, and Munster, among others), reinterpret it with kids. The resulting editorial shoot, Pranksy & the Playground Mob, is ingenious! The store’s owner, Jennifer Cattaui, has created an urban playground for kids to run, play, and show off their own street style – it’s edgy, full of attitude, and ultra-creative. View the entire story here (which includes a video and links to shop the links), and make sure to check out Babesta’s Banksy vs. Pranksy Pinterest board comparing the two!

Lines We Love :
POSTED Mar 24, 2014
Denmark’s Soft Gallery isn’t just another baby and children’s clothing label. It’s clear that the line creates beautiful pieces full of unique prints, gorgeous embroidery, and clever graphics, but the brand’s intention runs much deeper than that: “Soft Gallery seeks to stimulate and uncover creativity through clothing and to inspire our artistic sides. Each collection is a living gallery – a gallery on fabric.” The brand’s designers, who met when they were both studying in London, collaborate with a select group of artists each season to create a collection that is visually appealing but also practical enough (most items at 100% cotton) that kids will want to actually wear the clothes.
Nostalgia, the line’s spring summer 2014 collection, is full of pale, sophisticated colors and kid-friendly illustrations that are sure to bring to mind all the sweet and happy memories you have of your summers as a child – the ice-cream, old-school stereo, and floral prints really do it for us. Unique, innovative, and modern, Soft Gallery is clearly a beautiful and artistic labor of love that continues to impress season after season. Head on over to the brand’s website to view the entire collection (list of USA retailers here)!
