Mommy Interview: Stylist Jenn Falik’s Baby Fashion Tips
Jenn Falik is a blogger, style & beauty expert, and mommy who’s shared her tips on shows like The View, The Today Show, Rachael Ray, E! News, and Tyra Banks. And now, with new baby Alexa (see our adorable Baby Picture post on her!) in her life, there’s never a dull moment! Here, she dishes about Alexa’s surprise birth, the “pink princess epidemic,” and why everyone should have The Nuddle.
What was the most surprising thing about having Alexa?
The most surprising thing was having her on January 7th! I am a perennial planner, and when this little lady decided to show up five weeks early, she definitely taught me a lesson: When it comes to kids, you can never be prepared!
When you first found out you were having a girl, were you excited that you could style her and shop for her, since you’re such a fashion lover?
At first, I actually kind of wanted a boy to balance out my girly life working in fashion and beauty. When I found out I was having a girl, at first I was a little nervous, remembering how mischievous I was growing up. But it didn’t take me long to realize that a girl was perfect for me because of all the fun baby fashion and baby beauty products out there I could finally have an excuse to play with! And now that she’s here, I realize that I was 100% meant to have a girl.
Right now, I am spending a lot of time working on my blog, blog.jennfalik.com, and will definitely be back on TV soon sharing beauty and fashion finds. And who knows, maybe I’ll throw some baby style segments into the mix. I am also getting ready to shoot more episodes of my show on MSN: “Beauty BFF,” and working on a concept for a book.
Thanks so much, Jenn!
