Now available to order at Estella: the Soft Gallery AW14 collection! Based in Copenhagen, the boutique baby & children’s brand was founded with the goal of designing & producing clothing that encouraged creativity and inspired children’s artistic sides. “Each collection is a living gallery – a gallery on fabric.” Designed by friends Tina Holt Miller & Barbara Hvidt, who met while both studying in London, the brand collaborates with a select group of artists every season to create a clothes that are aesthetically beautiful but also practical & comfortable enough that babies & toddlers will want to wear them.

The AW14 collection is entitled A Glimpse – “what begins when all the consistency ends. A glimpse never stands alone but is followed by a question, a wonder, a feeling of fear, joy or hope. Your mind will follow a glimpse like Alice did the white rabbit or Edmund the faun in Narnia. And when you’re not sure of what you saw or what you know, and can’t follow the fragment but are left with the glimpse, imagination takes over. A world of imagination is the world of childhood.”

Soft Gallery’s signature aesthetic and practical clothes shine in this season’s collection, one that’s full of rich & bold colors with imaginative & magical graphic prints. Wolves, raccoons, feathers, & more cover toddler t-shirts, girls’ dresses, jumpsuits, & pajamas to keep your little ones warm all winter long.  Unique, innovative, and modern, Soft Gallery is clearly a beautiful labor of love that Estella is thrilled to be carrying this season!

Mini & Maximus

POSTED Jul 29, 2013

If your kid wants to be wearing the coolest clothes at the playground, you’re going to want to check out the Southern California-based line Mini & Maximus. The brand celebrates the imaginative, curious, and often humorous nature of kids in its eco-friendly designs that include graphic tees, neat hoodies, and funky bottoms. Even cooler is that the line collaborates with a well known or up-and-coming artist each season whose aesthetic aligns with the company’s, giving us unique and one-of-a-kind creations. And because Mini & Maximus uses earth-friendly fabrics in all their products, you can feel good about your child wearing the line’s clothes, too. Check out the entire collection here, and let us know what you think. We see a lot of great back-to-school options!

Point to the Pointelle

POSTED Oct 20, 2010

yhst-87491494023326_2126_108564835

Apparently I like to run. I must enjoy this activity, because why else would I be doing it all the time? And I do it all the time. But I’m not running in the true sense. Instead I seem to spend most of my day in a frantic race that usually takes place in a car. I run my daughter to school. We run to tumble class. I run to the grocery store. I run to the gym, where I actually do run.

With all of this zipping around at a high rate of speed, choosing what my daughter should wear during each activity isn’t always my top priority. In fact, I want putting together an outfit to be a split second decision I can make (and act on) before we start moving out the door.

Which is why I just adore these grils Pointelle shirts from Estella. Having 10 colors to choose from means an outfit is only seconds away. Even busy patterned pants or crazy fun skirts mix and match perfectly by just grabbing and going. And these shirts are ridiculously comfortable in 100% cotton, so she’ll never grab it out of my hand and throw it on the ground. Yes, she had done this before. Yes, we were late to whatever we had to go to that day.

On these rush-rush days, I do still want her to look sweet, pretty and smiling. But no, her outfits aren’t my top priority. What is, you ask? Avoiding speeding tickets.
